On Saturday, August 1, 2026, St. Nicholas of Myra celebrated a beautiful Annual Movie Night bringing together more than 80 parishioners--families, children, visitors, and friend--for an evening filled with faith, joy, fellowship, and support for our parish mission.
The preparation for this special event began on Friday with a planning meeting attended by the Hernández Family, Alvarenga Family, Cortez Family, Obando Family, and Fr. José. Their dedication, teamwork, and love for the parish helped make this celebration possible.
On Saturday, we were blessed with a special celebration of the Holy Eucharist. At 5:00 p.m, Fr. Michael Cooper concelebrated Mass together with Fr. José and Fr. Marco. The celebration of Mass unites our parish family in prayer and thanksgiving.
We were also happy to welcome visitors from other Episcopal communities, including friends from St. Simon, Epiphany Church, and St. Mark, together with our own St. Nicholas parishioners. Their presence was a beautiful sign of friendship and unity among our church communities.
Our wonderful volunteers served with generosity and joy. We give special thanks to the Hernández Family, including Yasmin and her daughter; the Alvarenga Family; the parents of the Youth Dance Group; Leslie and her daughter; the Obando Family; and three anonymous supporters who shared their time, talents, and dedication.
Volunteers set up the bounce house at 2:00 p.m.. By 4:00 p.m. children and families began arriving and enjoying the activities. Before the movie, we shared 30 minutes of music, praise, and dancing with the children. Those who participated received a small gift from Fr. José as a sign of appreciation and encouragement.
At 7:00 p.m., the movie officially began, bringing everyone together for a (wonderful evening of entertainment, family, and community.
We are deeply grateful to our generous parishioners who donated important items that made this event possible, including the bounce house, a 40-inch television to give away, a steam iron, food, drinks, and other supplies.
Our heartfelt thanks go to every volunteer, donor, visitor, family, and parishioner who helped make this special night a success. Your generosity and love helped strengthen our parish family and support the mission of St. Nicholas of Myra.

El sábado 1 de agosto de 2026 St. Nicholas of Myra celebró una hermosa Noche de Cine Anual para recaudar fondos, reuniendo a más de 80 feligreses, familias, niños, visitantes y amigos para una noche llena de fe, alegría, convivencia y apoyo a la misión de nuestra parroquia.
La preparación de este evento especial comenzó el viernes con una reunión de planificación en la que participaron la Familia Hernández, Familia Alvarenga, Familia Cortez, Familia Obando y el Padre José. Su dedicación, trabajo en equipo y amor por la parroquia hicieron posible esta hermosa celebración.
El sábado tuvimos la bendición de una celebración especial de la Santa Eucaristía. A las 5:00 p.m., el Padre Michael Cooper concelebró la Misa junto con el Padre José en St. Nicholas of Myra. Este hermoso momento reunió a nuestra familia parroquial en oración, unidad y acción de gracias.
También tuvimos la alegría de recibir visitantes de otras comunidades episcopales, incluyendo amigos de St. Simon, Epiphany Church y St. Mark, junto con nuestros propios feligreses de St. Nicholas. Su presencia fue un hermoso signo de amistad y unidad entre nuestras comunidades de fe.
Nuestros maravillosos voluntarios sirvieron con generosidad y alegría. Damos un agradecimiento especial a la Familia Hernández, incluyendo a Yasmin y su hija; Familia Alvarenga; los padres del Grupo de Danza Juvenil; Leslie y su hija; Familia Obando; y tres colaboradores anónimos que compartieron su tiempo, talentos y dedicación.

A las 7:00 p.m. comenzó oficialmente la película, reuniendo a todos para disfrutar de una hermosa noche de entretenimiento, familia y comunidad.
Estamos profundamente agradecidos con nuestros generosos feligreses que donaron artículos importantes para hacer posible este evento, incluyendo el brincolín, un televisor de 40 pulgadas para la rifa, una plancha de vapor, alimentos, bebidas y otros materiales necesarios
