Dear St. Nicholas Community,

Sunday we celebrate with joy Mother’s Day on this Sixth Sunday of Easter, giving thanks to God for the gift of life, family, and the love of our mothers and fathers.

The readings today remind us that Jesus remains with us and sends the Holy Spirit to guide us in love, peace, and hope. The Gospel assures us that whoever loves Jesus will keep His commandments, and that He will not leave us orphans. In a world marked by violence, wars, and division, Christ calls us to be instruments of peace, reconciliation, and love.

We sincerely thank everyone who made this celebration possible. Thank you to all the families, fathers, and men who supported and served with generosity. Thank you to all who prepared the food, decorations, gifts, and community sharing.

A very special thank you to those who donated food and money so that this Mother’s Day celebration could be beautiful, joyful, and meaningful for everyone. Your generosity made this feast possible and expressive of our love and gratitude.

A very special thank you to the dance group for their beautiful presentation. Thanks to Flor, their director, and to Francis for their support, leadership, and dedication.

We also give special thanks to Geronimo, Alicia, Sra. Maria, Carlos, and all those who arrived very early to help organize and prepare the hall. Your commitment, effort, and willingness to serve made everything ready in a beautiful and orderly way.

We give heartfelt thanks to all mothers for their love and sacrifice, and to all fathers for their strength, care, and example within their families.

May the Holy Spirit continue to bless our parish families, and may Mary, Mother of Jesus, intercede for us always.

With gratitude,
