This past Sunday in Ordinary Time, our St. Nicholas community experienced a very special day of faith, fellowship, and joy. We celebrated the Holy Eucharist with several new visitors joining us for worship. During the service, Father Michael Cooper offered a special blessing for fathers in anticipation of Father's Day, and we also prayed in thanksgiving for Father Cooper's birthday, giving thanks to God for his life and ministry among us.
Following the service, we gathered for our traditional second Sunday Community Luncheon, lovingly prepared by the women of the parish. As a special gesture of appreciation for Father Michael Cooper's birthday, José Carlos and Angélica presented him with a delicious plate of chorizo and eggs, which was greatly enjoyed. The meal provided a wonderful opportunity for fellowship, friendship, and sharing among all who attended.
The celebration continued with great joy thanks to our dance group, who helped animate the festivities and received special recognition for completing one year of ministry in our parish. We congratulate their leader, Flor, and all the members for their dedication and service. We also enjoyed games, raffles, and gifts generously sponsored by parish families.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who participated, especially the women who arrived early to prepare, organize, decorate, and later clean up after the event. Their dedication and hard work made this gathering a beautiful expression of Christian community.
We hope to continue strengthening these monthly gatherings and to expand them even further, welcoming more visitors and families into our parish community.
We also wish to thank everyone who attended our first Holy Hour of Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament last Friday. About ten people participated, including several young members of the dance group. It was a beautiful time of prayer, silence, and encounter with Jesus in the Eucharist.
We are grateful to everyone who brought food to share following the Adoration and before the youth rehearsal. May God richly bless all who offer their time, talents, and generosity for the spiritual and communal growth of our parish.

Este último Domingo del Tiempo Ordinario, nuestra comunidad de San Nicolás vivió un día muy especial de fe, fraternidad y alegría. Celebramos la Santa Eucaristía con la presencia de varias personas nuevas que nos visitaron. Durante la Misa, el Padre Michael Cooper impartió una bendición especial para los padres en anticipación al Día del Padre, y también oramos en acción de gracias por su cumpleaños, agradeciendo a Dios por su vida y ministerio entre nosotros.
Después de la Misa, compartimos nuestro tradicional almuerzo comunitario del segundo domingo del mes, preparado con mucho cariño por las mujeres de la parroquia. Como un gesto especial de aprecio por el cumpleaños del Padre Michael Cooper, José Carlos y Angélica le ofrecieron un delicioso plato de chorizo con huevos, que fue muy apreciado. El almuerzo fue un hermoso momento de convivencia, amistad y fraternidad para todos los presentes.
La celebración continuó con mucha alegría gracias a nuestro grupo de danza, que animó la fiesta y recibió un reconocimiento especial por cumplir un año de ministerio en nuestra parroquia. Felicitamos a su líder, Flor, y a todos los integrantes por su dedicación y servicio. También disfrutamos de juegos, rifas y regalos generosamente patrocinados por las familias de la iglesia.
Agradecemos de corazón a todos los que participaron, especialmente a las mujeres que llegaron temprano para preparar, organizar, decorar y, al finalizar, dejar todo limpio y hermoso. Su dedicación y esfuerzo hicieron de este encuentro un verdadero testimonio de comunidad cristiana.
Deseamos seguir fortaleciendo estos encuentros mensuales y ampliarlos aún más, dando la bienvenida a nuevas familias y visitantes a nuestra comunidad parroquial.

Aproximadamente diez personas estuvieron presentes, incluyendo varios jóvenes del grupo de danza. Fue un hermoso momento de oración, silencio y encuentro con Jesús en la Eucaristía.
Agradecemos igualmente a todos los que trajeron alimentos para compartir después de la adoración y antes del ensayo de los jóvenes. Que Dios bendiga abundantemente a todos los que ofrecen su tiempo, talentos y generosidad para el crecimiento espiritual y comunitario de nuestra parroquia.
